    Objectives

    Upon completion of this course, participants will learn:

    • What the legal definitions of bullying and harassment are.
    • How to recognise the signs of bullying and harassment.
    • The negative effects bullying and harassment can have.
    • The responsibilities of employers and other bystanders.
    • What to do if you are being harassed or discriminated against.
    • The difference between bullying, harassment and discrimination.

    Designed for

    This course is designed for organisation-wide delivery and provides employees and employers with general knowledge of the legal requirements, basic principles, and practices relating to bullying, harassment and discrimination in the workplace.

    Outcomes

    On successful completion of this course, participants will have the necessary information to be able to respond correctly to harassment and bullying in the workplace. Participants will also be aware of their legal obligations to workplace behaviour in The Act, and will learn how to correctly identify whether certain behaviour should be reported or not.
