What is Oculus Rift?

You’ve honestly got to experience it to experience it. Oculus Rift is a virtual reality headset that provides a fully immersive 3D experience, giving you a sense of really being in the environment you are viewing. Sensors in the goggles track your motion as you move your head and alter your vision accordingly. If you move your head left or right, your vision follows and gives you a much greater sense of immersion.

Mind Blowing Retention Rates

According to recent studies, immersive learning has a retention rate of knowledge in key messages of 90% compared to traditional training methods which provide a return of around 20%.

This high sense of reality makes this technology extremely useful for training in health and safety, since it allows us to practice any possible work situation as many times as it takes and safely: work on scaffolding, confined spaces, forklifts, even nuclear power plants.

Still not convinced?

Virtual reality was quite limited prior to the release of the first Oculus Rift headsets. However, the world suddenly sat up and took notice of VR following the Oculus acquisition for $2BN by Facebook in 2014.

We’re one of the eLearning pioneers of Oculus, with a creative team at Olive Learning that have been developing immersive solutions since some of the original development kits were released a number of years ago.
