Quality Assurer and Operator

We are seeking some software Quality Assurance officers and Operators to work on our new Product HiUp

Quality Assurer

Number of positions: 2

Specifications and Requirements for Position

• Demonstrated and clear ability to find and classify bugs in complex IT systems
• Experience of regression testing and testing generally
• Basic scripting in Python or NodeJS (both and / or other languages a plus)
• Ability to build automated web test cases using Selenium
• Experience working with and testing mobile phones
• Experience in automated IOS UI testing
• Experience in automated Android testing
• Experince in creating tickets in Jira

NOTE: Of the above skills, it will be reasonable that some of them (e.g. knowledge of BDD testing, or skill transfer from other UI automation frameworks to Selenium) is developed after the people are recruited to the roles.

Education

• Bachelor degree in Engineering, IT, Computer Science, Information Management or related field.

Job description and Responsibilities

• Reproduction of bugs reported form operations or other teams and creation of automated test cases demonstrating those bugs
• Creation of new, failing, test cases related to future functionality
• Continual research of new test cases to assure quality of existing system through manual experimentation and testing leading to bugs (and automatic reproduction in regression tests)

Operator

Number of positions: 2

Specifications and Requirements for Position

• Excellent knowledge of Linux system administration
• Ability to script in Python and Bash (sh)
• Experience working in and administering AWS cloud
• Ability to operate and limited scripting knowledge of Ansible
• Good experience in system monitoring and log monitoring (elastic search / kibana etc).
• Jira administration experience – at least user administration and basic project and issue maintainance
• Good knowledge of and experience in system restoration

NOTE: Of the above skills, it will be reasonable that some of them (e.g. knowledge of Ansible, or skill transfer from other clouds such as Google cloud) is developed after the people are recruited to the roles.

Education

• Bachelor degree in Engineering, IT, Computer Science, Information Management or related field.

Job description and Responsibilities

The operator is responsible for monitoring and maintaining the running system according to the instructions and procedures delivered by the dev team, developed internally by the operations team or agreed with other outside teams. Responsibilities of an operator includes

• Ensuring the fully verified ability to restore the system from offline resources in the case of any disaster or data loss
• Ensuring security of the system and identifying and reporting any software security issues
• Ensuring proper operation and stability of the system
• Responding to requests for operational changes from other teams
