Olive Group was shortlisted for the Most Innovative Use of Technology Award in the IITD National Training Awards 2015 in Dublin on March 6th. The Irish Institute of Training and Development (IITD) National Training Awards highlight the importance of training and development in today’s business climate and promote excellence, best practice and innovation in learning, training and development. Against some high-profile blue-chip companies, Olive Group were delighted to be the recipient of the “Outstanding Achievement” award in the Most Innovative Use of Technology category on the night.
22,000 Subcontractors engaged in Online Training
Olive Group was nominated for the event following the delivery of a bespoke training solution for one of the world’s largest retail chains. The project involved the launch of a branded Academy for the company’s subcontractors in the UK and Ireland. The training was mandatory and in just 6 months, 22,000 subcontractors engaged in the online training.
Robust Learning Management system
Olive Group developed a set of bespoke training courses which are hosted on our Learning Management System for our client. In addition to this, we created promotional videos that provided awareness of specific safety regulations and procedures while working on site. A monthly Newscast (think of Sky News but for health and safety) helped broadcast the company’s health and safety news and updates. Our Olive Group Team managed all the support associated with this training and supported the end user with their training experience.
Excellent Return on Investment
This training initiative was designed specifically to reduce the operational cost of training for the company and increase the Health and Safety standards within this organisation. It helped to significantly reduce the administration usually associated with traditional training methods and awareness programmes. Not only did the organisation and its partners improve health and safety transparency across the group, there was an 80% reduction in travel and downtime costs.
