Olive Learning is proud to announce that it received the ‘Silver’ trophy at this year’s E-Learning Awards Gala for the Tesco digital academy project. There were over 400 entrants from around the world competing for the coveted awards, with submissions whittled down to just 140 projects on the night. Olive Learning were shortlisted in two categories: ‘Best use of Mobile Learning’ for the AcademyHQ App and ‘Best use of e-learning to ensure compliance with external regulations or internal policies’ for the Tesco digital academy.
Olive Learning’s bespoke training and compliance system developed for Tesco was recognised at the event in London on November 25th. The ambitious project saw over 13,000 Tesco subcontractors take the online video courses via their laptops, tablets and mobile phones. The end results saw improvements in onsite compliance, a reduction in the number of safety related incidents, plus a major downtime and cost savings benefit for both Tesco and their contractors.
David MacHale, Olive Group Marketing Director, says, “The competition was tough and all of the other nominees were also of a great standard. To be shortlisted in two categories was fantastic, but to pick up one of these prestigious awards was a great honour. The team at Olive worked very hard and it’s great to see that recognised; we’re delighted to see our platform making a positive difference to how companies such as Tesco provide improved training for a safer work environment. The bite sized video approach to ELearning is something rapidly growing in popularity, and one which our customers and our peers clearly value.”
